Publisher's Description:
Image Resizer by VSO - Image Resizer is a handy freeware that resizes images and converts them between different formats. With Image Resizer you'll be able to send photos via email, move them from one folder to another or free space on your hard drive. The utility will convert any image (bmp, jpeg, gif, png) into any formats (from 320x200 to 1600x1200 and even Ipod photo and video, Sony PSPS, HDTV and DVD). The reduced file size of images enables faster loading, better management of the pictures and saves space. You will be able to send your images with a smaller size (weighing less) by email, something that was hardly possible with the original files. Depending on your needs, you can choose the resolution and the quality of the images you want to compress. Whether you want to send, move, shrink or enlarge a single picture or a whole batch, Image Resizer will do the job in one click. Image Resizer is a freeware edited by award winning CD and DVD burning software developer VSO Software. Version 3 includes a Smart digital frame transfer assistant, to optimize the digital photo frame experience.

It's interesting that I wanted a quick way to resize images. All downloaded ok and it appeared to run ok but I was never able to locate any of the images it resized. So I went for another product.

Quick and Easy
Does exactly what I need. I have bought an electronic picture frame for my grandmother and need to convert a set of my pictures into 800x600. Now all I do is find the picture, right click, select CSO Image Resizer, hit Enter 3 times and I'm done.

POSTED for VSO 1.3.4
It's a pretty simple product to use, and for something on the lines of optimization-- I like that. No extra bells and whistles here, just a simple product for optimization. It would be nice to be able to add a file location instead of just having to optimize selected images once running the executable. So, with that said, I would like it better if the form was unlocked and the browse control installed on the main software menu and allowed: "bring to front."

Not what I expected
I really wanted something so I could resize email images I receive before I save them to my hard drive, so I don't think this is what I was hoping for. I did resize a couple pictures and it worked easily to do that. I miss having a help file that goes with it.

Quick and easy, but.
My only request is that when saving a file in the same directory as the original, the software should give a fouth choice of renaming. Right now, it either allows you to replace the original, save in a different folder, or quit. The extra time it takes to navigate to or create a new folder is inconvenient.

Works as described.
I think this product works great. There could be more functions such as cropping but it does work as described.
